Deborah is a Jerome county native and proud mother of two adult children-both graduates of Twin Falls High School and the University of Idaho. She graduated from Boise State University in 1979 with a Bachelors. Her husband of 38 years is LeRoy Hayes. They have been partners in Hayes & Silver CPAs in Twin Falls since 1985. They enjoy fly fishing, ballroom dancing and are the caretakers of two cats.

Jill Skeem was the former co-host of Top Story with Kelly Klaas on 1310 a.m. for 6 years, and cookbook author. She has 18 years of experience as a paralegal for law firms and international corporations including T.G.I.Friday’s and Reebok International. She decided to run for Twin Falls County Commissioner after heading off an alternate truck route that was being planned behind closed doors for over two years and fighting an illegal dump site on her street. Her neighbors started to view her as a leader and their voice. She is running in District 3 against the Republican winner of either George Urie and Jack Johnson in the Republican Primary
