Come Party with the Party on May 18, 7:30 pm at Twin Beans in downtown Twin Falls. This is a chance to hang out with fellow Democrats after the primary election – discuss who are candidates are running against – and celebrate with our new party officers which will be elected the same evening before this event gets started.
See you there!
Our election of officers for the Twin Falls County Democratic Party will be held on May 18th followed by a party with the party event celebrating the kick off of our general election season in Idaho. The election of officers will begin at 6:30 pm and the social event at 7:30 pm at Twin Beans in Twin Falls.
Newly elected Democratic precinct captains meet to choose our county officers who will serve for the next two years. We elect a county chair, vice chair, secretary, treasurer, state committeeman, and state committeewoman for the Twin Falls County Democrats. A chair for Idaho Legislative District 24 will be chosen by the precinct captains serving in LD 24. And a chair for Idaho Legislative District 25 will be chosen by the precinct captains serving in LD 25.
Are you interested in serving as one of the county party officers? Contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know – or ask questions.
The next election in Idaho is the Primary on May 17. The Twin Falls Democrats have no contested races to be decided at this election, but this election is still very important. Why? Because the precinct captains (committeemen) are elected at this election. The precinct captains are the people who make up the voting members of the Twin Falls County Democrats as well as the Legislative District Committees. They are the people who vote for our county officers — which makes our county party “official.”
Our Twin Falls County party welcomes all Democrats from the county at all meetings and events. We encourage all to take an active part and join in discussions and decisions.
